Embracing Neurodiversity

Through this platform, I aim to share helpful resources, guidance, and practical strategies to better understand autism as an umbrella term and a spectrum. Every child’s experience is unique.

I highlight the importance of supporting neurodivergent individuals in a way that respects their strengths, differences, and individual needs. We provide practical guidance, emotional support, and awareness around sensory needs and burnout.

Integrity. Authenticity. Honesty.

Interactive Visual Timer

How does this help?

The Interactive Visual Timer is a gentle, neuro-affirming tool designed specifically for executive functioning support:

  • Seeing Time Pass: Many neurodivergent individuals experience "time blindness." By showing time as a shrinking shape, they can visually see time disappearing instead of relying on abstract numbers.
  • Easing Transitions: Moving from a fun activity to a less preferred one can be overwhelming. A visual timer creates a safe, predictable countdown, removing the shock of sudden transitions.
  • No Scary Alarms: We replaced loud, jarring kitchen timers with a soft, calming chime. It respects sensory needs while still letting them know that time is up.
